Choices

Choices is an off the field program that uses Baseball to reach and avail in-school adolescents and youth with accurate information on Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR), Mental Health and Emotional Stability, Alcohol and drug Abuse. This is a socially inclusive project that is implemented countrywide aimed to reach all adolescents and youth in schools using Baseball as the driving force. 

With the Mission to;- 

Prevent, reduce and rehabilitate the derailed and derailing Adolescents and Youths. 

The project’s methodology is as follows;

  • Play – Baseball giving everyone an opportunity to play sports, interact, compete and build character. Through Baseball, adolescents and youth become interactive and hence creating a safe space and platform for social interactions and engagements.
  • Educate – Availing accurate information to in-school adolescents about ASRHR, Mental Health and Emotional stability, Alcohol and drug Abuse to help them make informed decisions. Active engagements, counselling and guidance, ambassador’s outreaches and health camps are some means of availing accurate information to the in-school adolescents.
  • Entertain – Content creation by students to showcase their understanding and interpretation of the availed information. Special performances in music, poetry, art and drama from both our brand ambassadors and the students themselves all tailored in line with the project theme. 

At Baseball at Heart, we are not only Playing but also Creating Safe Spaces where “No One Is Left Behind” 

 

Purpose

Choices aims at availing adolescents and youth with accurate information on Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR), Mental Health and Emotional Stability, Alcohol and Drug Abuse so that they can make informed decisions. This helps in rising an informed generation and guarantees a healthy and production population in the future. We therefore believe that your organization/institute will love to serve a healthy and productive population.

Demographic Target

The project targets young people who make up 78% of Uganda’s population making them the prime population for the future. Our objectives aim at giving them the platform to make informed decision to help them benefit from their present day decisions in the future as become a responsible and production population. We therefore believe that your organization/institute will love to introduce its products and services to these potential customers at an early age.
