Girls on the Field

Girls on the Field

A groundbreaking initiative dedicated to shaping the next generation of women baseball in Uganda. Our program is designed to ignite the passion for baseball among young girls in primary schools.

Girls on the Field goes beyond the boundaries of traditional sports programs. Our unique approach is centered on comprehensive development, both on and off the field. We provide elite instruction, offering a platform for skill enhancement that lays the foundation for future baseball stars. More than just a game, we focus on character building, fostering qualities of leadership, teamwork, and resilience that extend far beyond the baseball diamond.

Our program delivers top-notch instruction, ensuring that each girl receives the guidance needed to hone her skills and reach her full potential in the sport.

– Girls on the Field” isn’t just about learning; it’s about putting those skills to the test. Through competitive play, we create an environment that challenges and nurtures the competitive spirit in each participant.

– Beyond the game, mentorship plays a crucial role in our program. Experienced mentors provide guidance, inspire confidence, and serve as role models, instilling a sense of determination and ambition in our young players.

This program is more than a training ground for future athletes; it’s a movement to break barriers and redefine expectations. “Girls on the Field” is a declaration that every girl, regardless of background, has the right to step onto the baseball field with confidence and pride.

Be a part of the “Girls on the Field” movement – where passion meets potential and every swing is a step towards a brighter future. Together, we are shaping resilient, empowered, and skilled young athletes who will carry the spirit of baseball into the next generation. At Baseball At Heart, we’re not just playing a game; we’re cultivating a legacy. Join us on the field, where dreams take flight and girls become the champions of their own stories. Because every girl deserves a chance
to play and shine.

We acknowledge the social challenges and Stereotypes Girls face in relation to Baseball and social and traditional beliefs thus creating none baseball activities/safe spaces involving the “Girl Talk“ session for Girls to Interact with fellow Ladies as they share experiences and knowledge in ASRHR. This program uses Baseball as a platform to draw/bring adolescents and youth closer to educate themselves about Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH), so that they can make informed and wise decision.

Just like our Core of Gender Equality and Equity states, we are Committed to Guiding both Boys and Girls to Making informed Decisions thus “No One Is Left Behind”
